Komen for the Cure Lawrenceville, NJ (July 11, 2007) -- The Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA) Women Lawyers Committee is partnering with SV Concepts Salon and Mini Spa to host a benefit for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey Affiliate on Monday, October 8, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The spa will donate 40 percent of the money it raises from all salon and spa services to Komen for the Cure. SV Concepts Salon and Mini Spa is located at 2538 Brunswick Pike (Route1 at Texas Avenue) in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a global breast cancer movement, is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find cures. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Komen for the Cure has invested $1 billion in research, education and health services towards the fight to cure breast cancer at every stage. All MCBA members and friends are invited to attend and are given first preference for appointments. Any remaining available appointments will be open to the public. Gift certificates, valid from October 9 through December 31, 2007, can also be purchased at anytime through the date of the event, with 40 percent of the proceeds being donated to Komen for the Cure when customers mention the MCBA event. The MCBA is a not-for-profit organization based in Mercer County, New Jersey. With over 1,200 members, the MCBA is committed to being actively involved in the community through a variety of programs for both MCBA members and the general public. The Women Lawyers Committee, co-chaired by Stacey Geurds and Kimberly Gandy Jinks, is one of over 25 committees of the MCBA that members can choose to participate in. SV Concepts Salon and Mini Spa provides one-stop shopping for hair, nails and the body. Among the services included are facials, skin care treatments, waxing, tanning, make-overs, hair shaping, styling and coloring, manicures, pedicures, and various types of massages.
